[MPlayer-advusers] slow down with menu off

hello folks,
 	I finally managed to get mplayer+profile working.

 	can someone knowlegable take a look and see what's going on?

 	basically no menus, or menus shown is fast.

 	however, menus enabled, but not displayed is slow.

here are numbers and gprof info:
