Well, this isn't likely to be pretty.

The last time I tried to compile mplayer with "./configure --cc=gcc-4.2", I
observed build errors that made me suspect a problem with "Live". That was
quite a while back. As a matter of fact, I noted my success with the
"--cc=gcc-4.2" option and thanked you for it, although I didn't mention that
I had added "--disable-live". The date was 3-25-11.

I think the last time I built the latest mplayer svn was about a week ago.
Everything was fine with the configuration I normally use: "./configure
--cc=gcc-4.2 --disable-live". However, using today's latest svn, whether or
not I use "--disable-live", I observe the following error notification.

Usually, I wait a few days before complaining, because I find that these
problems often resolve themselves. I doubt if there is any change from my
last successfully compiled svn that is likely to impact my mplayer or
