[MEncoder-users] Change subtitles "live"?

Hi,

Iam recording a long term test using a composite-in ad mencoder, low frame rate etc.

Now I have some measurements that are done. Is there a possibility to "inject" text into the recording, via "Live subtitles" or whatsoever?
(How the measurement is comming to the pc is no problem, and also to manipulate files etc, I just wonder how mencoder could do some sort of OSD insider the encoded video.
