[MEncoder-users] Fwd: mencoder burns in subtitles instead of ripping them to file

OOPS! Thunderbird attached the wrong file first, sorry... I hope, it
doesn't get posted...

Hello,

I've written a script to rip DVDs with mencoder years ago and haven't
used it anymore for 2-3 years until now. Now it's burning the subtitles
into the video file instead of ripping them to .idx/.sub files. I'm
guessing, the parameter syntax has changed, but I couldn't find anything
on the web or find help on IRC/in the manual.
I'm attaching my script. Sorry for bad code etc, I wrote it when I just
began learning how to write scripts and changed it a couple of times ;)

Regards
ptero

PS. I know, the parameters I use are sub-optimal, but I don't know much
about codecs and mplayer's parameters (even after "RTFMing" a lot) and
just copied it from somewhere. (If someone could suggest another
parameter string, for faster encoding with pretty much the same quality,
I would be very thankful, but that's another issue ;))
