Since I didn't try ffmpeg for this purpose in a while, it might come out
to be ok now, but last time I checked, I was unable (with -ss -t) to
properly cut and join parts of video without AV desync (EDL permits that
with mencoder, but exhibits some other bugs).

Typical use case : a TV record which contains garbage at the beginning,
then the beginning of the TV show I'm interested in, then
advertisements, then second part and so on.
