or "dvdauthor" on Linux.  The video would have to be encoded with
mencoder into a DVD-compatible MPEG2 stream, then you would run "spumux"
with a suitably crafted control file in order to multiplex the .srt file
as a subtitles layer into the MPEG2 video.
