I will try tsmuxer.
I think my CPU is fast enough to play the files (AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2
Dual Core Processor 5000+).
The problems that remain:
1. mplayer can't play the original file.
2. The avi can't be played (system-too-slow-messages).
3. The avi has bad artefacts.
4. The video is slower than the audio (could be a result of 2.)
At least 1 and 3 should not happen I suppose.
Did your machine play both of the files normally?
