My PopCornHour 'says' it's ~13 seconds of video and audio.
tsMuxeR says:
Decoding H264 stream (track 1): Profile: High at 4.0 Resolution:
1920:1080i Frame rate: 25
H.264 stream does not contain fps field. Muxing fps=25
B-pyramid level 2 detected. Shift DTS to 3 frames
Decoding AC3 stream (track 2): Bitrate: 256Kbps Sample Rate: 48KHz
Channels: 2
Processed 348 video frames
Mux successful complete.

348 frames and a time of 13-14 seconds from my PCH confirms that the
source is 25frames per second or 50fields per second. Source is 1080i.
Mediainfo also states that it's 25frames per second interlaced.

Remuxing with tsMuxeR/tsMuxerGUI delivers 00109.ts which is correctly
playable, give a powerfull enough PC, or a PC with VDPAU.

You can step through the file by pressing '.' the dot button. When in
console you can read the time. to determine where you want to cut.

tsMuxerGUI has a 'split/cut' function with which you can get what you want.

You can search ffmpeg-user-list and use the name of you camcorder as
search criterium and look for other hints.
