Thanks for the reply! I'm fed up with people answering with smug replies
rather than anything helpful. I have also read the manual (many times
over) as yourself and ended up with the same results which ever yadif
option i used. I have since tracked the problem down to either VLC
reading frame rates incorrectly as this is where I noticed the 50fps as
you did, or its mencoder. I now suspect its VLC reading frame rates
incorrectly as when you open the file in MediaInfo the frame rate is
shown as 25fps. I've also opened a few other 25fps files in VLC which
are also reported as 50fps.
