[MEncoder-users] Why this doesnt work? (adding subtitle to film)

-ovc copy means "copy the video stream, unchanged". How can you expect
the subtitles to appear in the video stream if you're telling mencoder
not to modify it?

It depends on the encoding of the subtitle file.
