I've used 20 myself for quite a while, for different reasons, though.

Very recently I came across a video that wasn't cropped properly, and
increased that from 20 to 31 (magic happens between 30 and 31).
I would *definitely* rather crop too little than too much. Though, of
course I don't ever expect it to be necessary to choose. After many
years of use on tons of material, it's only made a handful of mistakes.

It was originally a mplayer bug workaround. Now that I've added
parallel hard/soft telecine detection to the script, I need the md5sums
for that...
