[MEncoder-users] Question about SWS luma/chroma sharpening

Hi,

I'm trying to encode a blurry video file and I'd like to sharpen the luma and 
chroma planes during scaling. I played around with the -ssf option of the 
software scaler, however it doesn't seem to give much result. In fact the 
sharpening is hardly noticeable... Am I doing something wrong here or is 
there a better way to sharpen the picture?

-sws 10 -vf scale=624:384 -ssf ls=100:cs=100
