Hi all:

I've been working with mencoder for some years to create video DVDs and
I found a problem when the source is 24fps. Then the output is NTSC I
can use telecine, so the output is good; but with PAL discs I have to
change the framerate from 24 to 25 using -ofps 25. Unfortunately this
translates in that, each second, one frame is repeated, so the animation
is a little jerky.

Is possible to do a 2:2 PAL telecine with mencoder? The one which plays
the movie a 4% faster, and the sound faster too. Is possible to do pitch
adjust in these cases to ensure that musicals sound fine?
