Hello,

Could you help me please with one task.
I'm trying to use mencoder for converting qucktime .mov file into a
format readable for my Pioneer DV-585A.

I tried:
    mencoder input.mov -oac lavc -ovc lavc -o output.avi
    mencoder input.mov -oac lavc -ovc lavc -lavcopts
vcodec=mpeg4:vpass=1  -o output.avi
    mencoder input.mov -oac lavc -ovc xvid -xvidencopts bitrate=1600 -o
output.avi
    mencoder input.mov -oac lavc -ovc lavc -lavcopts acodec=mp2
vcodec=mpeg1video vstrict=-2 -o output.avi

Result - Pioneer player shows "MPEG-4", and no video, just sound. (plays
fine on my PC)

I have avi file which plays fine on the Pioneer player:
