[MEncoder-users] Use of mbd & precmp, subcmp, cmp, or mbcmp mutually exclusive?

No, because controlling motion estimation isn't mbd's primary function. 
Nonzero mbd overrides mbcmp for the purpose of macroblock decision, but 
not for the purpose of motion estimation.
