[MEncoder-users] Encode only part of a file?

Hi.

Is there a way to tell mencoder to only encode a part of a file,
either by start- and stop-frame or start- and stop-time?

A captured file I want to convert has some errors at the start,
and if I could tell mencoder to start a few seconds later that might
help.
