Thanks Justin & Nico for the tip.  I just tried this now...with one chapter on 
a music DVD and it's been there for more than 3 hours!  On my Pentium 4 CPU 
(3.00GHz) I'm getting 0.43fps while encoding!  Is this more or less the way 
it is?
