[MEncoder-users] mencoder very slow in windows?

I got a binary compiled for Athlon from 
http://tirnanog.fate.jp/mirror/mplayer/ and now it seems mencoder is faster, 
but still it says it would take 45 minutes to do the encode, the double of 
time than my computer. 

Finally I had to use some options to decrease quality, but make xvid faster: 
vhq=0:me_quality=4:notrellis and -sws 2 instead of -sws 9.
Now it took about 15 minutes to encode the video, and quality wasn't that bad 
(I first tried with me_quality=0 and that was really really horrible).
