[MEncoder-users] adjusting vorbis quality/bitrate in mencoder

Hello

I'm trying to encode vorbis audio with the lavc encoder, but no matter 
what I set abitrate to  the bitrate stays around 50kbit. Needless to say 
it sounds pretty bad. I'm sure there must be a aqscale parameter or 
something to control the quality, but I can't find one in the docs...

So anyone knows how to do this magic?
