[MEncoder-users] Aspect problem

Hi
I am trying to encode from mpgpes to xvid, doing some home video to xvid, I
have set the video camera to 16:9 and it produces .MOD files - well these are
what i get of the hard drive.
now I use autoaspect=1 as xvidencopts, and when I play the resultant file with
mplayer it looks the same as the original MOD file.
But when I bring it over to windows and use vlc it seems to go back to 4:3.
It look like the desired aspect ratio is 1.333
Now I am sure I have the recorder in 16:9 mode..... when I recorded in
aspect=16:9 it looked a but wrong.
