Well, I'm not exactly a lamer for RTFMing myself. I'm a sysadmin working
for the Communauté de Communes du Pays de Sommières, currently
networking eleven public libraries onto one single database server
(running Debian Sarge, Apache, PHP, MySQL). I don't know how many
hundreds of pages the MySQL manual has (which I'm actually into), but
this is an example of what I would call *comprehensive* documentation:
read it from the first page to the last, and then you're armed to your
teeth with facts and figures, and you can go and migrate databases and
do stuff. But then, maybe encoding DVD's is indeed a task far more
complex than merging databases...
