[MEncoder-users] overlapping subtitles with Mencoder

  Hi,
  I am new to the list so sorry if this is already known. I am trying to
reencode a video file, sa I can watch it on my PSP. I am using this options:

mencoder -ss 30 -endpos 60 -sub orig.srt -sub-bg-alpha 1 -subfont-text-scale
3 -subfont-osd-scale 4  -subcp cp1251 -vf scale=480:208,expand=:-64:0:0 -oac
copy -ovc lavc -lavcopts vbitrate=600 -o test.avi movie.avi

Subtitles are shown in the 64pix wide black border at the bottom, but the
problem is that they don't disappear. When the new line is show it overlaps
the previous one. I tried both lavc and xvid, but the result is the same.
The version I am using:

MEncoder 1.0rc1-4.1.1 (C) 2000-2006 MPlayer Team
CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) XP 3000+ (Family: 6, Model: 10, Stepping: 0)
CPUflags: Type: 6 MMX: 1 MMX2: 1 3DNow: 1 3DNow2: 1 SSE: 1 SSE2: 0
Compiled for x86 CPU with extensions: MMX MMX2 3DNow 3DNowEx SSE

Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug ? :)
