I've ripped a vob from a DVD using
`mplayer dvd://1 -dumpstream -dumpfile X.vob'
This vob contains subtitles (yes I'm sure, I can watch them using `-sid
nr') I really need, so I'd like to dump them. If I understand the docs
right, the option of choice for this task is `-dumpsub'. Unfortunately,
the result is not very satisfying:
,----[ $ mplayer X.vob -dumpsub ]
| MPlayer dev-CVS-060316-17:53-4.1.0 (C) 2000-2006 MPlayer Team
| CPU: Advanced Micro Devices Sempron/Athlon MP/XP/XP-M Barton,Thorton (Family: 6, Stepping: 0)
| CPUflags: MMX: 1 MMX2: 1 3DNow: 1 3DNow2: 1 SSE: 1 SSE2: 0
| Compiled for x86 CPU with extensions: MMX MMX2 3DNow 3DNowEx SSE
| Playing X.vob.
| MPEG-PS file format detected.
| demux: File doesn't contain the selected audio or video stream.
| Core dumped ;)
| Exiting... (End of file)
Also, while `-sid nr' works fine, `-vobsubid nr' doesn't work at all.
Any hints what I'm doing wrong?
