That's what happens when you have an open (unmoderated) mailing list. 
You don't always get good information.

Basically a threshold...  The larger the value, the more of the picture
it will think is a black border, and cut-off.

>From thousands of videos tested, I can recomend 20 as the best
all-around value.  You'll still probably want to verify and adjust
the crop parameters manually.
