yo,

i see you people are having fun discussion on the topic of jokes : )
this is good.

however - i still cannot capture a real video stream! 

'mplayer <URL> -dumpstream -dumpfile <filename>'
just leads to a 1 kb link to the stream being stored in my directory.
not what i want.
i want the whole video.
how do i get the full 65 minute video onto my harddrive?

as for the "Core dumped ;)" thing. it was confusing. i didn't think it meant a real core dump had taken place. i'm using xp - i'm not even sure it has a core! though it may have a dump ...

now i know what it meant - i like it. why not just add a 'check your target directory' to it?

maybe i should just zap the site with one of those 'back up the entire web site and half the internet' aps?
