[MEncoder-users] Recode MPEG2 to DV retaining interlace

Hello,

I have MPG2 files which are NTSC, 720x480, interlaced.

I need to recode them to DV, keeping them 720x480 and interlaced. I need the 
resulting DV stream (in the AVI) to be correctly marked as interlaced, so 
that in the future the stream could be converted back to interlaced MPEG2 ro 
output to DV hardware.

I don't know how to formulate the mencoder command line for this. Would be 
very thankful for an example.
