well, okay.  but seriously, i dont know the implications of what i've  
done for all the other ways one might use mencoder. i dont really  
understand what the v_timer_corr code is supposed to be doing, or  
more correctly, what the rationale was for the way its coded now. and  
plus there's still those duplicate frames; i havent gone and figured  
out exactly where they are in the output and what the cause is.

that's why i was arping for Arpi :) also i was hoping that Trent  
could corroborate my results.
