[MEncoder-users] Read output from mplayer or specify log file

Hi,

I want to read the disc info of a DVD by using mplayer (mplayer 
-identidy dvd://1 -frames 0), but I do not know how to catch the output. 
In windows I am using cmd / start to start mplayer and if I read the 
output stream from the process I get outputput from cmd and/or start 
which is nothing.

A workaround would be to specify the logfile for mplayer and afterwards 
process the file, but how do I specify the logfile?
