I tried.

-fps 24 makes even bigger difference shift between Audio/Video

-fps 23 produces

video buffer full - dropping frame
Pos: 571,1s 11993f ( 0%) 21fps Trem: 0min 0mb A-V:0,000 [11234:127]
video buffer full - dropping frame
Pos: 571,1s 11994f ( 0%) 21fps Trem: 0min 0mb A-V:0,000 [11234:127]
video buffer full - dropping frame
Pos: 571,5s 12002f ( 0%) 21fps Trem: 0min 0mb A-V:0,000 [11233:127]
video buffer full - dropping frame

etc.

I never re-encoded before (except for using a script divx2cvcd which happens
to use mencoder, but i guess it splits audio to process it with transcode for
some reason). Can you please tell me what the syntax for re-encoding would be
in this case?
