So far I have:
ffmpeg -y -shortest\
    -i lineup_test.mov\
    -f lavfi -i aevalsrc=0\
    -map 0:0 -map 0:1 -map 0:1 -map 1:0 -map 1:0\
    -acodec copy -vcodec copy test2.mov

This appears to be getting closer to what I want to do.

There are a few more questions I have, but it may be beyond the scope of
this mailing list.
I'll keep reading.
