[FFmpeg-user] ffmpeg & ffmbc on same machine

friends,

I am intending to build a 64 bit linux machine [ ubuntu 11.4 ]
I wish to have both ffmpg and ffmbc on the machine.

for ffmpeg i was going to use this as an install guide

and i suppose i would be building ffmbc from source.

My primary Q are:

Is it OK to have both?
Does having ffmbc make ffmpeg redundunt .. i should therefore , only do 
ffmbc?
If I install both are there any obvious things to be mindful of 
...regarding libs and such.
do yall have any thoughts - suggestions.
