I believe that is exactly what I did.

I am not threatening to break things on purpose. But I believe that people
who want to bypass the check are using the API improperly, and that means it
may break at any time when the API is extended / completed, while proper
uses would not.

For example: because it will lead to the subtitle to be converted twice once
the missing conversion is implemented.
