well tested is not needed and it will become quicker fully functional
if users cant easily switch to another implementation (yes iam evil)

allthough if the new code doesnt work at all (256point imdct ...) then
thats of course too early

also speed and complexity is important

it would be great if someone could now and periodically in the future
when its in svn post benchmarks, (striped) object and source (no mmx/sse)
sizes of the new AC3 and liba52
