git.ffmpeg.org hosts the repository under new maintenance and was
started as a clone of the git.videolan.org repository. git.ffmpeg.org
should post commit log messages to the new ffmpeg-commits mailing
list. git.videolan.org should post commit log messages to
ffmpeg-cvslog.

Some commits went to both repositories because Janne thought it would
be useful to sync the two repos in the early stages. It seems this has
caused some confusion and he said he would fix anything that people
wanted to be fixed.

In short, git.ffmpeg.org and ffmpeg-commits are for the 'new team'.
git.videolan.org won't be maintained by the new team but it should
remain with the facilities originally offered for it for use by any of
the people who sent in their SSH key to Janne.

Please ask if there is anything that needs more clarification.

Best regards,
Rob
