[MPlayer-users] some issues with dvdnav

I have the same problem with the SVN version on amd64:

A:3014.3 V:3014.4 A-V: -0.082 ct:  0.002  40/ 40 127%  6% 34.5% 21 0

It skips a short moment of audio at the title(?) borders on the Star Trek XI 
(2009; region 2, i guess) from time to time...

how can we avoid these unrequested skips?
Isnt that new dvd format unnecessarily complicated?
why would a dvd maker do that?
