[MPlayer-users] oblique type with srt subtiles

Hello everybody.
I would like to know if there is
a way to hardsub srt titles with
oblique type fonts. This is an
example of srt file:

00:00:00,131 --> 00:00:01,506
<i>oblique italic subtitle</i>

<i>oblique italia
two lines subtitle.</i>

normal font subtitle

vlc (for example) will show the
subtitle 1 and 2 with oblique fonts.
Mplayer doesn't: it always show the
subtitles with normal fonts. Is this
the expected bahaviour?
