[Mplayer-dvb] DVB driver with redhat 9

Ok, do you know which (if any) special steps you took to
compile the kernel appart from those:

-get kernel,decompress it
-make menuconfig, ususal settings, no drivers excluded,ACPI all 
enabled(for shutdown)
-make dep;make bzImage;make modules;make modules_install
-copy to /boot/,add to bootloader
-reeboot-

are something like settings in RH to make something work which coud rely 
on the rh-stock kernel ?

if not i would adopt a kernel-build script i have to take the fear from
makeing a real kernel for the system, people use vor dvb/mplayer..
