I tried and failed:(

I have ~/.mplayer/channels.conf generated by scan (come with kernel
modules).  tzap works.

I started  ./mplayer dvbin://subtv

in dvbin.c:dvb_streaming_start()   dvbin_param_type == "SAT"
it should be "TER" for me. 

Too late (early) to try to guess how to set it.
