Yes, did I miss the SSE-only benchmarks? If yes, sorry, 
the article is long...
(SSE-only is the important hardware - when I last tested, 
FFmpeg was faster on older and newer hardware, if that has 
also changed, some comments would be great imo.)

(I neither asked you to remove a part of MPlayer nor did 
I in any way encourage you.)
I believe I did post these benchmarks once and I did not see 
any claims that the situation has changed since.
