This is not the first time that I read this, but it does not reflect what I
remember:
The same traitors that tried to take over ffmpeg.org later said that development
makes it absolutely necessary that we have to switch to git (and then used the
argument that git is so complicated that it is too risky to allow every
developer to commit).
