Actually, what I wrote is rubbish because only people with non-UTF-8
filenames would have something to convert to. But conversion must take
place anyway.

So either we add a font encoding information to the skins (and make
ISO-8859-1 the default?) or demand a specific encoding to be used.

Preferences?
