More or less I just copied the description of other options like -contrast, 
-brightness...

       -contrast <-100-100>
              Adjust the contrast of the video signal (default: 0).  Not  sup-
              ported by all video output drivers.

It doesn't explain either how it works when using hardware or software 
equalizer, what it's needed for or why anyone would want to use it instead of 
the eq2 filter.
