For me it doesn't really matter whether it's always on
or compile time detected. What matters for me is that a lot
of people who use mga_vid will first compile MPlayer, wonder
why mga_vid is not working anymore, probably invest quite some
time until they figure out that it has been disabled at compile
time and have to recompile again.

Then again, i'm not really sure whether always on is a good
idea. The population of mga_vid users is quite small, though
definitly non-zero (see the number of people subscribed to
-matrox and the traffic there), but adding (x)mga to each
and every MPlayer instance will add to the bloat of MPlayer.

Also, IMHO the "recompile MPlayer after setup mga_vid" argument
is void as everyone who used (x)mga in the past is used to that
and knows that he has to setup first mga_vid which all of
the (x)mga users have already done that years ago.
