I don't think double buffering will be slower, since all game engine
use it. It's a method to reduce flickering. I think all vo need it if
possible. Diego ask this feature, maybe he can also explain why we
need it.

That's a osd bug in mplayer that already be fixed for a month. When
Mplayer OSX fast switch osd off and on before and after a command, may
froze the osd. Anyway, it's already fixed, please check it again.
