Nope, Solaris has a /dev/audio/0 (first soundcard) device for the sound 
card, itself, and a mixing device, /dev/audio/0ctl . Both of these devices 
have symlinks /dev/audio and /dev/audioctl, so yes, an ifdef is still 
needed.
