Not only would it depend on luck to work, but sometimes networks (or 
perhaps local stations) don't stick to the 2:3:2:3 pattern all through a 
720p program. I've seen 2:2:3:2:3 mysteriously show up several times 
during programs and it breaks everything that was depending on the 2:3 
pattern. Once that happens, game over!
