This is certainly a good idea, and I may do it sometime in the future.
However, it would not solve the problem this patch is meant to solve.
That means, for example, mplayer -vo help -ao help would still produce
inadequate output.

As far as parsing, the output is already easily parseable, especially
if you use -identify.
