Rich: After your initial post that you were going to change mencoder's default to mc==0, I tried using "-mc 0" with 1.0pre4. So far, I've already found a couple of DVDs that loose sync with mc==0, but keep sync with the default. I think changing the mencoder default to mc==0 is going to cause a lot more problems than it solves.
