Can you try this patch?
Can someone who use standard rtsp streams also test it?

It's just a test patch that have to be cleaned up (the old selection  
code can be removed, and it will probably have problems if an url is  
redirected and it's not Real rtsp), but it works for me.

It tries both rtsp implementations (Real first, then live.com). It can  
be made smarter if needed, by using the extension check (or some other  
trick) to select the order of the attempts.
The bad thing about this solution is that MPlayer have to connect twice  
if the first streamer is not the right one.
