which codecs are more legal in xine then mplayer?

btw, if u remove all patented codecs then theres nothing left except 
ogg/vorbis, even mjpeg & mpeg1 are patented (yes iam ignoring rare codecs 
like msrle, cyuv and such)
if u just remove all codecs which would need some per decoder fee then ur left 
with mpeg1, mjpeg, and some old codecs like adpcm, and maybe mpeg audio layer
